The "Compact" and "GP" are transmissive sensors which detect moving yarn within the optical field. The yarn sensing capability varies from 8 dtex to greater than 5000 dtex. with reaction times and interfaces to suit customer requirements. The optical systems have a unique compensation circuit which ensures reliable detection regardless of spin finish, dirt or fly. These sensors are not affected by colour, yarn type or static charges.
The "Nelson" reflective sensor was pioneered by Dent and is firmly established as the industry standard. It is ideal for sensing traversing or straight line yarn tracks from 8 dtex upwards.
The "CAT" is a microprocessor based controller for data collection and management. It is used in Dent's systems for yarn monitoring. It can operate as a standalone device or on a network to provide supension of several machines from a single PC. Windows based software packages provide reports which enable users to optimise machine efficiency.
