VANE PUMP MANUFACTURERS SINCE 1963FROM TRADITION TO INNOVATIONWe were in 1963 when the passion for mechanics pushed Martino Cavazza and Arturo Berni, both natives of Mantua, to found the AR.MA SDF. The first location was a small garage 70 m2 large in Porrettana Street, where the two “brave” entrepreneurs began on their own to custom mechanical pieces for third parties, working for the most important industries in Bologna, using the traditional manifacturing tools. Never satisfied by their work and taking advantage by the market opportunities, they decided, some years later, to startthe design and manufacturing of the first variable displacement vane pump.A VANE PUMP BRAND RECOGNIZED AROUND THE WORLDThe positive trend in the vane pump businessled, in a short time, on one side to change the company name from AR.MA to BERARMA Srl (24 January 1970), and on the other side to move to a new corporate headquarters, still used today, that is much larger (2,000 m2), located in the industrial area of Via Parini 9 in Casalecchio di Reno (Bologna). In more than 40 years after its birth Berarma reached ahigh technological know-how becoming a dynamic and modern vane pump brand recognized around the world. A modern R&D department is working to improve the Berarma products, adapting them to the modern technological standards required by the market. This activity has led to the creation of anew family of variable displacement vane pumps, called PHV,used for high pressure (250 bar). This new series of vane pumps, together with the traditional Berarma pumps -types PVS, PSP, PSPK- and the groups of motor pump -type GMP (group consisting of a Berarma pump and an electric motor with special flanging for direct transmission of motion)- were designed to obtain the following features:- Silent running;
- High efficiency and long working life;
- Economy and simplification of hydraulic system;
Modularity and flexibility to meet the diverse needs of users: a common pump body to each size on which you can assemble various types of pressure-flow control, mounting the Berarma non return valves with SAE flange type NRV, and match more pumps each other (Combined Pumps Solution).
